Get to know Kim, who has been our dedicated Payroll Coordinator in the accounting team for the past three years. Her role is essential to our team, requiring great patience with drivers and clients, precision, and careful attention. We conducted this interview on her work anniversary day, celebrating her three years with Superior Dispatch Service. In our conversation, Kim shares about her life before joining us, what her job means to her, how she manages its demands, and her journey to earning a promotion. 1. Who was Kim prior to Superior Dispatch Service?
Just an ordinary girl as I’m now, trying to catch everything that life offers. I was working here and there without ever even wondering that I’m going to be part of such a great company as Superior Dispatch Service. Besides that I was and I still am a dog person, spending my free time with my dog, friends and family and trying to learn a foreign language.
2. What is your motivation to succeed in this organization?
It is pretty enough to work in a healthy environment where everyone supports what you are doing.
3. What does success mean to you in your professional life?
Meaning growing every day in a kind of a parallel between personal aspirations, goals and professional effort you give every day. Professionally you are not successful only when you reach your goal, but every day with every step.
4. What is one accomplishment you’re particularly proud of?
I’m proud that I’ve learned a lot in such a short time and I was not even imagining that I’m capable of working at the payroll position.
5. How do you stay motivated and productive during difficult tasks?
For me it is such a pleasure to hear from the clients a thank you for what I did for them. Other than that, learning new things every day is keeping me motivated as well.
6. How do you handle stress and pressure in the workplace?
It is pretty challenging some days to stay calm, however knowing that in these hard times someone will always help and we will get the job done as we are supposed to – as a team, is very helpful.
7. Who inspires you in your life?
My family, they are always supporting me in every decision that I make.
8. Reflecting on your 3 years of working here, which event stands out as the most memorable for you?
My mind naturally selected receiving an award for most improved employee as the most memorable event. That award is still a huge motivation for me. I can proudly say that Superior always finds great ways to value and acknowledge its employees.
